Drew Hofler, Senior Director of Marketing at Ariba, an SAP company, delivered a presentation on the "emerging digital economy" with Argyle's CFO membership at the 2015 Chief Financial Officer Leadership Forum in New York on Nov. 5.
"With the networked economy, I like to boil it down to really being about getting the right information to the right people at the right time within the right process so that they can make the right decisions and drive the right business results."
"We talk about turning data into information. The idea that opportunity plus visibility plus capability equals what I like to call collaborative commerce. This is something that can impact treasury on your side."
"Business networks are designed to create the ability to share the right information with the right people at the right time to make the right decisions and drive the right results. Business networks come in and allow a multiple user, many-to-many connection through one single spot where multiple suppliers can connect with multiple buyers. Buyers can communicate multiple processes through one central network hub and share that information within their organization through the hub and have everybody have access to the relevant information that they need. This is what business networks are trying to fix and are fixing very successfully, in some ways."
