As cyber security threats continue to rise both in frequency and complexity, General Counsels are being tasked with protecting their organizations from this risk more than ever.
On September 30th, at the 2015 Chief Legal Officer Leadership Forum in Chicago, IL, Argyle Executive Forum, in partnership with Intralinks, set out to determine how leading legal executives are allocating their resources within their cyber security budgets. Out of the 150+ legal executives that were polled, 55% indicated that they are spending a majority of their resources on collaboration with their IT team, indicating the critical importance of this relationship in today’s digital landscape.
28% of the executives indicated that most of their resources are dedicated to spearheading response and compliance initiatives, while 11% are investing in staff training and education.
Lastly, 6% are utilizing 3rd party/vendor due intelligence – a fraction that will likely grow in the coming years, as more and more advanced experts emerge.
