ForgeRock Vice President of Marketing Daniel Raskin discussed digital identity and its impact on today’s organizations during a Thought Leadership Spotlight Presented by ForgeRock at the 2015 Chief Information Officer Leadership Forum in Chicago on June 17. In his presentation, “Maximizing Return on Identity,” Raskin noted that digital identity can prove to be a market differentiator for an organization.
According to Raskin, identity is key for digital transformation. If an organization wants to enhance its relationships with clients and employees, Raskin said, it must consider identity: “If you think about any digital initiative that’s gone on within an organization, it cannot be done without identity, whether it be managing employees, customers or prospects, rolling out new services for authenticating a set top box, smart city, digital citizens. Every one of those initiatives requires identity. How you actually think about your identity platform is essential to being successful in that world.”
Identity is a security measure that can empower an organization, Raskin said. An organization that focuses on personalization and integration with digital identity, Raskin said, can bolster its relationships with clients and employees as well: “If you think about return on identity, it touches on everything from the user experience to enabling new business channels. … You now have to protect native mobile apps. You have to be able to integrate with anything, and that’s a really different world.”
